In Java, long before weather apps, farmers knew when to plant by watching the sky. When the three bright stars of the plough rose before dawn, it was time to prepare the fields. A whole farming calendar of twelve seasons was built the same way: from generations of noticing what came before what.

The Javanese call this kind of knowing titen, from a word that means "to observe". It isn't magic and it isn't guessing. It is understanding earned by paying careful attention to signs, again and again, until the patterns become clear.

What Titen does

The internet produces more signs than anyone can watch. Titen watches for you, and shows its work:

  • Trend Radar reads search trends, the day's top headlines, Hacker News and GitHub every six hours, and keeps the stories that matter most worldwide.
  • Daily Brief turns the last 48 hours of news on a topic into a few clear lines.
  • TL;DR reads a long page and gives you the point, the facts, and what is missing.
  • Scam Check examines messages, links and screenshots, and explains its verdict in plain words.

Every summary links to its sources. Titen can only cite sources it actually collected, so it can't invent a link.

Honest limits

Titen is an AI. It can misread a page, miss context, or be confidently wrong. Use it as a careful first look, not as the final word, especially for money, health, legal or security decisions.

Your data

  • No account and no tracking cookies. Your topic choices are stored only in your own browser.
  • What you paste into TL;DR or Scam Check is sent to an AI model (through OpenRouter) to produce the answer. Titen does not save your messages or screenshots.
  • Suspicious links are never opened. Titen only looks up public information about the domain.
  • Never paste passwords, one-time codes or card numbers anywhere you aren't sure about, including here.

For developers

Titen also lives in your terminal. Install it with npm install -g @titen-dev/titen, add your own OpenRouter key with titen setup, and run titen trends, titen brief "any topic", titen tldr <url> or titen scam.
